It?s a damn shame that this ?just? is a six track E.P. I write ?just? and that is because I wanna have more with them right away. Read my lips ?
t h i s i s a l o v e l y p i e c e o f m o d e r n r o c k? The first song out on the album called ?Wilmington? sets the tone and is a rocker, but then? song number two? god damn what a freekin? tune this is? ?What You Get? is the name and if the chartgod is fair - this would be a number one in the US. It?s the perfect mix between Vertical Horizon, Tonic and The Rising.
The fourth one out ?Your Fault? is cool because here they add a little other ingredient than the ?normal? modern rock. And that ingredient is ? hmmmmm ? well I would say a The Cult vibe. A very cool tune. And this vibe continues in fifth one out ?Surrender? which is the perfect mix between Vertical Horizon, U2 and The Cult. The last one out is ?Humans Life? and is a perfect end (listen to the refrain folks?) to an E.P with a band I?m sure we will hear much more of in the future and if they have the luck you need in the business they could soon play the big arenas because they sure have potential for it.

My rating:
-Great songs, Great Band, Great management, Great producer. This EP is the real deal. To bad the majors couldn't pull their heads out of their asses to find this band and sign them. What could have been.

-Its been a long awaited album release for me and exciting times for the public as you all now have a chance to feel a little glimpse of the next big band. Like Coldplay, I couldnt isolate a favorite song... they could all be number one hits! - SD

Fightstar´s first EP was heavily influenced by the author Chuck Palahniuk, with the band naming a song after him ("Palahniuk´s Laughter") and including a drawing of Edward Norton´s character in the film adaptation of the Palahniuk book Fight Club.
