The founders of Liberty N? Justice,Justin Murr and Patrick Marchand has put together the 3rd album with well-known singers. The "Welcome To The Revolution" album that came out in 2004 featured 18 known singers, including Lou Gramm(Foreigner) and Michael Sweet (Stryper). This time around they have gathered singers from bands like Skid Row, Guardian, Lynch Mob, TNT, Slaughter, Trixter, Ratt and Danger Danger to mention a few. Then there are well-known musicians such as Tommy Denander (Radioactive), Harry Hess (Harem Scarem) and Charlie Calv(Shothun Symphony) to pick out 3. The album contains 16 songs and a running time over 60 minutes filled with hardrock in the veins of those mentioned bands singers, plenty of songs and I can say that not everyone holds the highest quality but there are some really fine moments.
"Another Nail" is a nice Skid Row sounding rocker,"State Of Grace" sang by Russell Arcara (Surgin, Prophet, The Way) is a strong mid-tempo song with lovely melodies. The great "Show Me The Way" that reminds of Lynch Mob,the duet between Mark Slaughter and Pete Loran on "Thy Will Be Done" is one of the real highlights on this album. But the song that really took me by surprise was "Always Tomorrow" sang by Ted Poley, this is the best song of the album and Ted does a brilliant work on this Journey-esque sounding song. Soundtrack Of Soul is a nice album that has a few peaks and a couple of fillers but it will please fans of 80s hardrock for sure, this feels like a compilation of bands from the 80s hey-days when Ratt, Slaughter, Skid Row and others ruled the hardrock map. When do you get an album with so many well known singers??
