Reviewed by: Kaj Roth Add to MySpace Add to Facebook The new album from G.Love features guests like Jack Johnson, Ben Harper and rap artist Blackalicious. This is a pretty cool album that will get you in a relaxing mood if you think a mix of blues/hip-hop and soul sounds like an interesting formula. G. Love?s voice is too low in the mix but I suppose that?s the purpose, he also plays the guitar, harmonica and trombone - there?s no doubt he?s a talented musician coz there?s a lot of feeling in his performance. "Lemonade" truly sounds like the perfect music for a long drive in your car, I only think the rap parts should?ve been left out since G.Love is doing just fine with just the soul and blues. Some of these tracks could?ve been featured in the soundtrack of the Blues Brothers movie.
