Par Wrote some things about this albums first release. Corey Crowder re-releases his "Learning To Let Go" in a Special Edition with 2 bonus Tracks. The main question's that comes to mind for me is Why are major labels not knocking down this guys door. Well i guess it just shows you hoe the industry is today. They would rather sign 4 dudes dressed in girls clothes with died hair and eye liner. this Cd shows you how a singer/songwriter can write some great tunes and image means nothing.
From Greenville, SC, Crowder shows off his influences James Taylor, Jim Croce, Ryan Adams, Eric Clapton, and Bob Dylan. "Learning To Let Go" is an inspiring album with acoustic, pop rock heart and soul. As heard on MTV's Real World, I'm really surprised why hes not bigger than he is.
Formed in 2001 his Acoustic/Folk/Rock band spent much of 2006 touring nationally and promoting. After a year on the road, Corey spend time writing and recording demos in preparation for this fourth release. "I feel that this will be my most musically and lyrically mature album to date," Corey says of the new album. "I am constantly changing both musically and in my personal life and its nice to have my music reflect those life changes."
The band behind Crowder himself are Russ Chapman - Drums, Logan Belcher - Bass, and Katlin Owen - Guitar. Truly a fine album showing growth and maturity of a rising artists. Focusing on his southern roots Corey brings new musical elements into this album. Seeking inspiration from artists like Johnny Cash, Nat King Cole, and James Taylor this album from Corey is a promise to an interesting blend of both old and new. Check it out!
