Female fronted quartet Fuji Minx comes from the same grounds as No Doubt and this cool band that deliver the 20 track album "Users Cheaters Theatres" also sound a bit like No Doubt.
It's a beautiful packaged album with a story printed like a minibook so the listener can soak in the music even better since the album is divided into 3 chapters.

Singer Greta Valenti has a voice that can be described like a mix between Gwen Stefani and Dale Bozzio (Missing Persons) but the music is more bombastic than No Doubt's indie punk.
Some moments I get the feeling of listening to the soundtrack of the musical movie Moulin Rouge but with an 80's vibe of T'Pau mixed with the 90's pop of Roxette.
Fuji Minx really has a sound of their own but they could've reduced the album down to 12 or 14 tracks because it's a bit too long I'm afraid.
"But no no no" is a really great song that deserves to be riding the airwaves!
A cool band that has lots of potential for sure!

-Fuji Minx is a perfect mix of light and dark! Original sound ... no cookie cutter action going on with this group! Instrumentals cut deep, with modern vocals and lyrics ... thank God! For those of you tired of listening to the Top 20 (boring stuff) ... fork out the $15 for the Users Cheaters CD. I'm going to The Joint on Halloween ... want to hear what these guys sound like live!

-Fuji Minx latest Cd" Users Cheaters Theatres" is one the best new CD that I found this year. The CD grows on me everytime I play it. To begin with, enjoy the strong vocal deliverance from Greta Valenti, the lead vocalist; the arrangement of the CD includes rock catchy tunes "Waisting away part 1 and 2", lace with melodic ballad "You Taught Me well", and closing with operatic mood "Bye Love.". This is a delightful CD and I highly recommend it for your music collection. I look forward to listen and see their performance on Hollyween night.

-Comparing FM's Greta Valenti to No Doubt and Gwen Stefani, is in my opinion iis like comparing a Fine Wine to Coke. Greta has a distinct style and flair that is strictly her own. She has grit and spirit and isn't all sugar coated and sanitized for our protection. If you do want to make the comparison then by all means, Lets Get Naked, far surpasses the bubble gumming of Simple Kind of Life. Obviously you've not seen them play live yet I have and, they are tight. While I do like Gwen with No Doubt I can't stomach her on her own. I've heard enough songs about Hara Juku girls more than I care too for the remainder of my life :P If you want to bust an album for being too long lets take the latest Linkin Park CD for example, it has about 11 songs that stretched beyond their normal roots. Frankly in my opinion compared with their previous albums this one blew hard and not in the good way. Why not get behind this band, actually go see them perform then you can be qualified to give a decent review. ;)

-OMG this is NOT a 3 star album this is a freakin masterpiece! First of all this review is SOOO Lame b/c they said the album is too long..we'll it's only an hour when you listen to the whole thing! Secondly he says it should only be 12-14 tracks. Well it IS only 14 real songs... The "Part 1" of each song are only 20 sec long and so are 3 other tracks. It's like a play douchebag! Anyway I LOVED this album and although Greta (the lead singer) reminds me of Gwen on 1 or 2 songs (a little on Cat Wine and maybe on another), I think they have no resemblance to No Doubt. (Who I love also!) The reviewer DID get something right, they ARE unique and COOL and I can't wait for the world to love them as much as I do! GO FUJI MINX!
