I think this is my first review of an artist from Poland. And I'm happy that I can tell you it's a good one. Julia sent me this CD a while back and I haven't go the chance to listen to the album until last week and it have been a cool companion in the stereo ever since. I'm really impressed cause Julia have produced, written and arranged all of the album herself and the result is splendid. Imagine a mix between Charlotte Martin, Tori Amos, Shawn Colvin (If she played the piano that is), Bjork (at her most commercial moments) and you're quite near the style of Julia. A cool piano, some beautiful strings and arrangements and a bunch of well written tunes. This is just an EP so please Julia, give me a fullength now.

My rating:
-Yes this is a great EP but she a very recently released a full album which I think is much much better than this EP (how is that posible believe me it is). Again she has written all the songs herself. You can get the CD from amazon or http://www.sellaband.com/shop/artist/juliamarcell/ You can also download three of the tracks for free from Sellaband.

-I was charmed by Julia Marcells songs immediately even though until that day, I did not know that I might like her type of music. Since I have received her EP 'Storm', I have played it more than any other CD I own and it never fails to touch my heart when I hear the songs. With her EP Storm, Julia Marcell has clearly shown that she's up to the task of making a full length CD in top quality and I'm looking forward to the moment her next CD is released in 2008

Fightstar formed in late 2003 after Alex Westaway and Charlie Simpson, former Busted frontman, met at a party in Simpson´s London home. Following an impromptu jam session, Westaway and Simpson decided to form a band. After a few songs had been written, the band recruited bassist Dan Haigh, a school friend of guitarist Alex Westaway and drummer Omar Abidi.
