Reviewed by: Kaj Roth Add to MySpace Add to Facebook Dallas based hard rock band June Halo worked with producer David Castell (Blue October) on their debut EP. I like the warm sound of this post grunge affair which is both big and heavy, this band stand somewhere between Incubus and Staind soundwise - we get 5 really good songs that will please both fans of tough modern rock a la Breaking Benjamin and Cold but also grunge bands like Creed and Default. The band deliver kick ass rockers in "Throwing stones" and "Return to me" plus the strong ballad "I won't back down", I love the vocal harmonies from Dwayne Hedges on the heavy "What it's made me" that bring thoughts to Atomic Opera and Galactic Cowboys. If you want to rock, June Halo is here for you. Im not sure which is the single but I love Throwing Stones.
