Reviewed by: Kaj Roth Add to MySpace Add to Facebook link to album:  http://www.melodic.net/reviewsOne.asp?revnr=7446 The songs on the new album from Bruce Springsteen sound like leftovers from the previous album "Magic" (2007) but I guess Bruce has written all new songs for this album. The Boss pays a visit in country & western land on several songs on "Working on a dream" but they're not even close of being on the same level as his normal work. I wonder if he was too fast in releasing a new album, but this 120 million selling artist can get away with anything I guess since the critics will still love anything he does. Bruce has a high low level when it comes to writing songs, you can always count on good quality when it comes to a Springsteen album but these new songs just don't move me at all. There are a few good songs like "Queen of the supermarket", "Like itself", "Kingdom of days" and the 8 minute long "Outlaw Pete" but the rest feel like songs that never should made it onto a record.
