Woah, it's not everyday you get to hear a true idol but Petra singer John Schlitt returned to Sweden after 20 years to do a solo concert at Torpkonferensen outside of Orebro.
John Schlitt is doing a European tour with the Adahl brothers, Frank and Simon Adahl warmed up with a set of songs off their "Roots" album and Frank sang out of this world as usual.
This guy must be Sweden's best singer without competition and after 1 hour of west coast music, my hero John Schlitt entered the stage.
I saw Petra on their Beyond Belief tour in 1990 and now Mr.Schlitt is standing on stage in front of me doing a set of songs from his solo albums as well as Petra classics, it really felt too good to be true.

Schlitt has one of those voices that sounds exactly the same live as in the studio, his vocal performance was perfect and not one single person in the crowd sat down when he pulled off "Beyond belief".
Outstanding!
Other Petra songs we got to hear during the show : "No doubt", "Stand" and "Reach out".
Schlitt played 3 songs off his latest solo album "The Grafting" (2008) and one song each from the first solo "Shake" (1995) and "Unfit for swine" (1996).
Oh I almost forgot, Schlitt is a lovely guy to listen to between the songs too - he tell jokes as well as talk about serious matters which made the show even more complete.
I went to bed and slept like a baby when I came home, thank you Schlitt for a night that will last forever.

-He still has that amazing rock n' roll touch! I watched a bunch of performances online and I can only imagine how amazing it was to actually be there!
